Print a true-size sashiko stitch guide
The sashiko stitch guide maker draws geometric motifs as dashed stitch lines, ready to print and transfer to your cloth. Choose asanoha, seigaiha, shippo, kikko, kagome or a simple grid, then set the grid size, stitch length, panel size and colors.

What you get
- A true-size PDF, tiled across letter sheets when the panel is larger than one, with a 1 inch check square on each sheet
- Stitches centered on each line, so gaps fall at the crossings and stitches don't cross there
- An SVG and PNG of the panel in your cloth and thread colors
- A rough stitch count and thread estimate
What this tool doesn't do
Sashiko is a Japanese stitching tradition with its own teachers and many ways of working. This tool only draws line guides, and it makes no claims about where a motif comes from. The stitch length and gap are a starting point, so adjust them to your thread, cloth and hand.
