What we collect

You don't need an account, and we don't ask for your name or email address. Information is handled in these ways:

• Pattern server: to draw your design, your settings are sent to our server, which can record them in its logs with your IP address and the time of the request.
• Website hosting: the companies that host the site can log technical details of each request, such as your IP address and browser.
• Google Analytics: see the next section.
• Your browser: seeds and the palettes you save stay in this browser's local storage. They aren't sent to us unless a setting is part of a request to draw a design.

Google Analytics

We use Google Analytics to see how the site is used. It sets cookies and sends Google the pages you visit, including each page's full address with your settings, which settings you change in a tool, the site that sent you, your device and browser, and your approximate location.

Why we use it

We use this information to draw your designs, keep the site running and secure, and understand how to improve it. Where the law requires a legal basis, we rely on our legitimate interest in doing those things.

Who receives it

We share information only with Google and our hosting providers, as described above, or when the law requires it. These companies may process it in other countries, including the United States. We don't sell your information, and the site shows no ads.

How long we keep it

We keep server logs and analytics data only as long as we need them for the purposes above. Items in local storage stay until you clear them from your browser.

Your choices and rights

You can block cookies in your browser, use Google's opt-out above, and clear local storage at any time. Depending on where you live, you may have the right to ask for access to your information, or to have it corrected or deleted, to object to or limit its use, and to complain to your data protection authority. To make a request, email us. We don't ask for your name, so we may not be able to link logs or analytics data to you.

Children

This site isn't directed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect their personal information.

Changes

If this policy changes, we'll post the new version here and update the date above.
