Generate a printable maze with one true path
The maze generator is a new tool from the pattern library. Every maze it draws has exactly one route between any two cells, with no loops and no walled-off areas.
Samples to start from
- Generating maze…A circular maze from Wilson's algorithmOpen with these settings
- Generating maze…An easy hexagonal maze from Prim's algorithmOpen with these settings
- Generating maze…A square maze from Kruskal's algorithm, with its solutionOpen with these settings
- Generating maze…A rectangular binary tree maze, with its diagonal leanOpen with these settings
What you get
- Four shapes: square, rectangle, circle and hexagon
- Five algorithms with different textures: recursive backtracker, Prim, Kruskal, Wilson and binary tree
- Six difficulties, from easy to extreme, which set how many cells the maze has
- A printable PDF with the solution on its own page
- SVG and PNG of the maze and of its solution, with your wall weight and colors
Seeds and share links
A seed picks the maze: the same seed and settings always draw the same one. Your browser remembers your seed and the PDF prints it. Share links keep your settings but not the seed, so to draw the same maze elsewhere, type the seed in.
